Vehicle collision near Catholic Church

One man was hospitalized after a vehicle collision near the Catholic Church in Castries.

The driver of a white Taxi, told the Times that he was heading down Micoud Street when a mini bus travelling along Peynier Street failed to stop at the junction and collided with his vehicle.

Kendal Fanis said as a result of the collision, his vehicle hit the wall by the Catholic Church.

Fanis said he was grateful to be alive in view of the pace at which the minibus was travelling.

He said the minibus continued travelling after the collision until it came to a halt some distance away.

According to Fanis, the driver of the minibus was hospitalized, while he (Fanis), sustained minor bruises to the arm.

The  vehicle collision occurred sometime before 9PM.
