Marigot is on the Jazz Map again this year with nine nights of exceptional local talent at Rainforest Hideaway starting Wednesday 27th May and an all-day Jazz Fusion Event organized by the Marigot Community Development Committee on Saturday 30th April.
Rainforest Hideaway has always been a Jazz Venue since opening for dinner on the dock twelve years ago – starting with just a couple of nights a week and now featuring live local jazz four nights a week, all year round. This year Rainforest is an Official Fringe Venue for the Jazz & Arts Festival – with Sponsorship from a range of leading St Lucian companies.
Says John Verity, the restaurant owner, ‘Rainforest Hideaway is all about affordable local cuisine in a natural setting and showcasing some of St Lucia’s amazingly gifted musicians. We feel that they deserve to be celebrated and given the opportunity to shine and some of our guests come back year after year to have dinner and listen to their favourite artistes in this uniquely beautiful location.’
