Motorcycle collides with minibus in Vieux Fort

A Vieux Fort resident, identified as thirty-four year old Edmund Benjamin, has been hospitalized after his motorcycle collided with a minibus this afternoon.

The incident occurred at the Pierrot junction, according to reports.

It is reported that Edmund was riding in the direction of the junction when his motorbike collided with the oncoming bus.

The motorcyclist sustained multiple injuries, including deep wounds to the head.

Eyewitnesses told the Times that he also sustained injuries to the left side of his torso, his left arm and both legs.

Other eyewitnesses said that although the injuries appeared to be severe, the accident victim was still able to provide information at the time that emergency officials arrived at the scene.

He was taken to St Jude hospital via ambulance.

The incident occurred sometime before 5:36 p.m.
