Fourteen non-national females, reportedly arrested at a strip club in the North of the Island, made an appearance in court this morning.
The women are reported to have been held on Friday.
Well informed sources told the Times they were charged with being employed here without having a work permit.
The sources could not give information immediately on the name of the strip club or whether the employer of the women had also been arrested.
The women, said to be from Barbados, the Dominican Republic and Venezuela – among other countries, hid their faces from cameras as they arrived in court.
More details later.
