Well known kweyol announcer, Sam ‘Jook Bois’ Flood has responded to a threat from a caller to his radio show, by declaring that he is not scared.
Sam Flood told the Times that the threatening call came on Tuesday at about 7:12 p.m.
The announcer recalled that the caller, after stating what time it was in England, threatened to block him on the road one of these mornings.
“I told him straight, you do that and you are a dead man,” Flood recounted.
He said he did not know who the caller was.
However Flood said he was told by listeners to his radio programme that the voice was the same one that had issued a threat to talk show host – Rick Wayne recently.
“I am of the opinion that these threats are being orchestrated because we are in an election campaign, but I cannot allow threats to intimidate me,” the kweyol announcer declared.
In terms of his suspicions, Flood explained that when the target is considered it is clear that the callers are cronies of the government.
The outspoken media practitioner said:
“Because they feel threatened what better way to silence people in the media than to have their cronies making those calls?”
However, Flood declared that he is not afraid.
He asserted that only cowards alone would accept such a threat.
“Not me,” Sam Flood said.
