Masked gunmen storm government warehouse

Three masked gunmen stormed the government warehouse at Faux a Chaux this afternoon, creating a wave of panic among staff.

The incident occurred at about 3:30 PM, according to reports.

Sources told the Times that after overpowering a Security Guard, two of the masked gunmen entered the building while the third stood outside.

The two inside held up staff, demanded cash, and along with their companion outside, made off with an undisclosed sum of money.

Cabinet Secretary, Darrel Montrope, who visited the scene told the Times that the bandits had stolen a “sizable” sum of money in cash and cheques.

Montrope said that fortunately, there was no loss of life or injury in the attack.

He disclosed that the police had been summoned and have begun their investigations.

Members of staff at the facility are traumatized.

There is normally an armed police officer on duty at the Warehouse so was he absent during this robbery?
Did the bandits escape on foot, on motorbikes or via the sea since the heavy Friday afternoon traffic in this area would frustrate a quick escape by car?
