A forty-nine year old Gros Islet resident is dead as a result of a suspected drowning.
The victim has been identified as Anthony Octave.
Octave’s sister, Desmona Neptune, told the times that he and a cousin left home this morning to go diving.
She said that the men would usually have a reunion at about 2. p.m.
However she explained that when the cousin did not see Octave he decided to call his telephone, assuming that he had gone home.
An alarm was raised and a search was conducted.
Octave’s body was found at about 5. p.m, according to reports.
His sister, Desmona Neptune, told the Times that the death is the fourth the family has experienced in the past two years.
She recalled that their mother died in November, 2014, followed by a brother one year later.
Neptune revealed that just recently the family also buried a nephew who took his own life at Monchy.
