Election date: Students’ Council concerned

Castries, Saint Lucia, Saturday 21st May, 2016. The National Students’ Council is questioning the level of consideration shown to the students of Saint Lucia by the Government, following the announcement of the June 6th election date.

As outlined in the CXC timetable, Food & Nutrition and Additional Mathematics are scheduled for June 6th 2016.

The date selection has left many of our students along with parents curious as to the extent to which the General Elections may affect the progress of such examinations.

The council hopes that the execution of elections in Saint Lucia will not provide discomfort for students seeking to excel at this critical juncture in their lives.

We therefore plead to the Government to provide the students of Saint Lucia with adequate information ahead of the elections to avoid a state of confusion and mishap.

Lol. Take it easy guys. What is done is done already. Let us make the best of it. In my days some 18 year olds were still at school. They would be excited or anxious about exams too. Kenny might be sorry for selecting such a date. Later shall be greater.

With tempers flaring and insults flying…… dont it make you feel small; y’all. We need to learn tolerance in this country. We have some serious problems that no politician can solve but ourselves. What difference does this situationn make in the real scope of your life that it warrants your derogatory comments on a public forum? Some things will never change because we don’t see it fit to change the bad in ourselves.

Can’t blame some people, they have no respect for themselves, farless for others.
All the Student’s Council is asking is for an explanation. Is that so wrong? Some of you like Kenny have no consideration for others, and that’s so sad.
Yes! May the best group of candidates win.
Students do not be distracted by those wooligans. Good luck at your exams.
