CPL introduces Miss St. Lucia Zouks

The Biggest Party in Sport, the HERO Caribbean Premier League (CPL), gets into carnival mode in St. Lucia, as it gets ready to host matches from 21st July to 24th 2016.

On Friday evening, 20th May, Lyndon Arnold, Chair of The Carnival Planning & Management Agency (CPMA), introduced eight young contestants for the St. Lucia Carnival Pageantry to their sponsors for the first time.

Racquel John has been named as the St. Lucia Zouks ambassador. A graduate of the Leon Hess Comprehensive Secondary School, student in Theatre Arts and the Valedictorian on graduation, Racquel studied Business at the Sir Arthur Community College as she intends to pursue a business career at the Florida International University.

A very active individual in the performing arts, Racquel lives with a passion for dance as she has in the past been a St Lucia Zouks poster girl. She has participated in seven pageants, both locally and regionally, placing in the top three and capturing four titles, the latest being Miss Queen of Gros Islet 2014.

In Racquel’s spare time she enjoys volunteering with groups such as Faces of Cancer St. Lucia, St. Lucia House Association and St. Lucia Youth Council.

Alongside Racquel, chaperone Iva Satney and the St. Lucia Zouks squad, we can only expect Rachel to sweep her audience off their feet during competition and certainly cheer our players on to victory. The Zouks will be on fire!

St. Lucia Zouks is delighted to have Rachel as its 2016 Brand Ambassador.
