WASCO partnership well received

PRESS RELEASE:- The Water and Sewerage Company Community Water Partnership with the Babonneau Youth Synergy and civil society groups of Babonneau was wonderfully received by community members and greatly applauded.

The programme seeks to engage communities island wide on the issues of water, the resource and the infrastructure which allow it access.

The aim is to keep water on the national agenda, especially to engage persons within their communities in water stewardship and keep them sensitized on the issues of water.

This allows them to be active participants in ensuring that water remains sustainable in the changing climatic conditions of the island.

WASCO’s Communications and Public Relations Manager D’Anthony Charles said, “Whether you are an individual or a small business, you can generate countless benefits for your forests, communities, and all Saint Lucians through the simple act of donating and planting a tree!”

Planting trees has many benefits: improved wildlife habitat, high-quality trees for timber or specialty wood products, revegetated buffers along streams to protect water quality, increased species diversity and resiliency, enhanced attractiveness and a more valuable estate for your family or heirs.

You can give a Gift of Trees or make a general donation to plant trees. Donates are being accepted for the next three weeks.
