Former Prime Minister, Stephenson King, has said that an evaluation of his new ministry will be the first order of business.
King was sworn in yesterday as Minister of Infrastructure, Energy and Labour in the new Allen Chastanet led administration.
The Castries North MP pointed to the need to settle down and get a true evaluation of the ministry.
King also said there was need to assess infrastructure and conduct an audit to determine what is required to bring the infrastructure up to standard.
He described as a “novelty”, Chastanet’s announcement of cluster portfolios in the new cabinet of ministers.
King asserted that with a senior and junior minister working together, several ministries have been grouped under one roof.
“It is now to see how the experiment works to produce greater efficiency and increased productivity – that will be the hallmark of the success of the new configuration,” the former Prime Minister said.
