PM to address NWU Congress

PRESS RELEASE:-Hon. Allen Michael Chastanet, recently elected Prime Minister of Saint Lucia will address over one hundred (100) delegates at the upcoming National Workers Union Annual Congress of Delegates.

The Prime Minister will join Hon. Jennifer Baptiste-Primus, Minister of Labour and Small Enterprise Development of Trinidad and Tobago who will also be addressing the Annual Congress of Delegates at the Royal by Rex Resorts commencing from 9.00 a.m.

The Congress will be held under the theme “Trade Unions must defend social and economic benefits won by the Trade Union Movement”. At the closed session the presentations will include Portfolio Reports – on industrial relations and mobilization, education, finance and international relations.  

Resolutions and election of a new Central Committee to administer the affairs of the NWU for the 2016-2017 period will conclude the day’s proceedings.

    I shake my head. Some labour supporters are still in shock. Unable to grasp that arrogant and pompous Kenny Davis Anthony has been rejected through a fair and democratic process called elections.
    Cry for Kenny but they don’t see he say don’t cry for him.
    He is on holidays absorbing sweet Trinidad. Preparing to maKe a new life for himself.
