Silas Wilson axed

Silas Wilson, the Executive Assistant to former Deputy Prime Minister, Philip J. Pierre, has been terminated.

Wilson’s last day on the job was yesterday, the Times has been reliably informed.

According to reports, Silas Wilson became the Executive Assistant to Pierre in 2012.

His last contract was for one year which would have ended in 2017, it is reported.

Yesterday the Times reported that the Press Secretary to then Prime Minister, Doctor Kenny Anthony, Jade Brown, and Anthony’s Attache, Calixte George Jr, had also been fired.

Their last day on the job was on Friday, June 17, 2016.

A reliable source told the Times that a number of other heads will roll as the new Allen Chastanet led government does some house cleaning.

Chastanet’s United Workers Party (UWP), won the June 6, 2016 general elections by a margin of 11 to 6, defeating the then governing Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP).
