SLP Names Senators

Political Leader of the SLP and Leader of the Opposition Hon. Philip J. Pierre has made recommendations for the appointment of Opposition Senators, to Her Excellency Dame Pearlette Louisy, Governor General of Saint Lucia.

Mr. Joachim Henry, Candidate for Castries South East, Mr. Jerome Gedeon, Candidate for Dennery South and Mr. Guibion Ferdinand, Candidate for Micoud South have been selected to represent the interest of the Opposition in the Upper House.

The Leader of the Opposition says the selections were made to provide exposure and valuable experience to the new candidates who have expressed an interest in continuing their political careers. Hon. Pierre says he is confident that the team will raise the bar already established in the Senate and will do all in their power and authority to represent the people.

Changes can be expected during the term, as a rotation system will be used to engage the talents and services of Team Labour.

YES!! I Like these three. Great Choices. I thought the most recent team of 17 was a strong team(one of the strongest in fact) and I wanted these guys to stick around.
    Guibo!!!!!!! excellent choice!!!!
I wish we had more spots for people like Victorin!! I think he was a formidable candidate and I would like to see Victorin stick around. Hopefully he will be one to rotate in the Senate. John Charlery, I also hope to see more of.
I look forward to seeing the next set of leaders evolve rights before our eyes. So much talent in the SLP!!
And young Jadia… you have a bright future ahead

I am disappointed that they did not choose a woman. This is an early strike on Mr. Pierre leadership

Very good choices Mr.Pierre. I love them all. Remember to add women during the rotation period and also Victorin ,Charlery and Roserie. The exposure will auger well for the future.

Ye,its very disappointing to see guys comfortable in their job and having to reseign to contest election and ending on the losing side. Were u brainwash or you’ll were looking for opportunity to become ministers.Am far away from Lucia and I fully knew that SLP would have lose the election. In fact I actually predicted the seats they would have win,and I was correct.U telling me u resigning your job to contest an election for a leader who is taking the country backward instead of forward.Pierre my advise to u is to allow Healiere to become the political if u want the SLP to have any chance of winning an election.Otherwise Allen Chastanet will reign for a period similar to Compton.
