A teenager, identified as Darren James, has been reported missing.
Superintendent John Preville of the Marine Police told the Times that the department received a report at about 2:10 pm on Thursday, June 30, 2016 that James was missing.
Preville said according to the report, James was swimming towards Rat Islet when he went under the water and disappeared.
He disclosed that a Marine Police vessel was dispatched to look for the Yorke Hill resident.
The Marine Police Commander observed that when the vessel arrived on the scene, teams from Sandals resorts and local fishermen were also there assisting in the search.
Preville revealed that the Marine Police vessel left at about 7 pm last night.
He said a two hour dive search was conducted this morning but failed to find the missing teenager.
Preville indicated that the search would continue.
