Sandals Resorts International Nets Two Top Awards in 17th Annual Canadian Travel Agent’s Choice Awards

July 1, 2016, Toronto, Canada – As the largest sampling of Canadian travel agents, the 2016 Agents’ Choice Awards give voice to those who are on the frontline of the Canadian travel industry. Sandals Resorts International is proud to announce that it has once again claimed top spot in two highly coveted award categories, including: “Favourite Hotel Brand – All-Inclusive” for the 17th year in a row and “Favourite Responsible Travel Company” for the 9th straight year.

A testament to the strength and continued evolution of the Sandals product, Sandals Resorts International has remained undefeated in the “Favourite Hotel Brand – All-Inclusive” category since the Agents’ Choice Awards were first introduced in 2000.

With the largest sales team coast to coast across Canada of any Caribbean hotel company, Sandals Resorts International supports Canadian travel agents on a daily basis. Their efforts did not go unnoticed, with three members of their Canadian sales team named to the list of “Favourite Sales Rep/Business Development Manager”, a new category this year.

The Agents’ Choice Awards are conducted by Toronto-based Baxter Travel Media and their flagship publications, Canadian Travel Press and Travel Courier. With an increase of 10% more voters than last year, over 5,500 Canadian travel agents offered their opinion in 35 industry categories in the 17th annual edition. Agents selected their top three favourite travel suppliers in various award categories. The agents’ votes are weighted accordingly – three points for a first place vote, two for second and one for third.
