Blind cricket competition underway

PRESS RELEASE:- The 2016 West Indies 2020 Blind Cricket Competition is being held in Trinidad from Sunday 10th to Friday  15th July.

Participating Countries include:

Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago. Once again the Windward Islands could not participate because of financial problem.

After three  days of competition  Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica , are dominating the Tournament with six and  four points respectively.

Day 1:

Guyana Trinidad games was reduced to 8 overs, Guyana won the toss and sent Trinidad in to bat, Trinidad made 80 for 3 in reply Guyana 65 for 5.  Jamaica Barbados match went to 16 overs Jamaica made 135 and Barbados made 85.

Day 2:

. Monday Trinidad and Tobago defeated Barbados by five wickets with three overs to spare ,  scores in the match :  Barbados 125 for six  Trinidad and Tobago 126 for five.  Man of the match Rodney Ramratan

In the second match of the day Jamaica defeated Guyana by seven wickets with five point five over to spear, scores in the match Guyana  105 for eight Jamaica 108 for three.

Day 3:

GUYANA VERSES BARBADOS   Guyana  won  the toss and decided to bat scoring 138 for five highest scorer for Guyana was the captain Kevin Douglas with a score of 65

Barbados final score was 139 for three they won the match with7 wickets in  hand, the top scorer for Barbados was Haldeen forde with 45 runs  


T&T Won the toss and decided to field
Sent in to bat by T&T Jamaica final score 172 for three with eight wickets in hand. So Trinidad and Tobago required to score 173 for victory They started positively, but lost their first wicket when the score was 42. After that they

Loss crucial wickets along the way but still managed to reach the required total with eight balls to spare. Loshane miles won the man of the match award.
Wednesday the 13th was a rest day.  The Tournament resumes on Thursday 14th and concludes Friday 15th of July.
