Vieux Fort bracing for reprisal killings

Vieux Fort is bracing for more reprisal killings, following this morning’s shooting death of two men at Bruceville.

Trent Travis Eugene, known as Jupin of Banse Laborie and Clint Felix AKA Black Boy of Micoud were gunned down in the community, their bodies being discovered in Faith Park shortly after midnight.

One of the victims of the double homicide was found with a gunshot wound to the head, while the other had been shot in the chest.

Residents nearby had earlier reported hearing shots being fired.

The two deaths this morning have been linked to an ongoing gangland feud.

Two men were also shot and killed last month by two masked men on foot.

The victims were identified as Junior Gilbert and Miguel Theodore, both believed to be in their late twenties.

There was reported to be a strong police presence at the funeral of one of the two men recently, amid fears of an outbreak of gun violence at the event.

According to reports, Police have identified suspects and collected evidence in the killings  of Gilbert and Theodore but are hampered in their investigations by a non-functioning forensic laboratory.

There are concerns that the violence will escalate with the suspects roaming free and innocent civilians may be hurt.

Ugghhh come on. long before we even had a forensic lab, police in St.Lucia never solved a single crime. This retarded excuse about your operations are hampered because of a non functioning lab is a bunch of crock. The officers on this “force” are lazy alcoholics who couldn’t solve a crime if it happened right before their eyes in DAYLIGHT. You guys think you’ve found the perfect excuse in this non-functioning lab but we’ve known that force to always be non functioning

Thanks for reminding us of something we all know and have known for a long time, but the authorities dont seem to be able to do anything about.

Anonymous isn`t wrong. The VF cores of the force are as good as boy scouts. They solve nothing that hasn`t already been solved by the residents where an event/crime occurred.

Sad, really sad that criminals can roam free and destroy this beautiful country because of a lack of will, corruption and incompetence. Hypocrisy at it’s best the citizens suffer and cower in fear while the hypocrites are safe.

Go back to restore confidence. You’ll see if it wouldn’t stop.

Operation Restore Confidence was testament to how lazy and incompetent our police force is. The RSLPF knew who the criminals were and diligent police work could have put these guys behind bars, instead the powers that be took the lazy and easy way out by carrying out MURDERS in lieu of detective work. To cover up for their haste to get to the nearest rum shop they would have us believe that they needed the fanciest of technology to solve the simplest of crimes. ORC didn’t work ,it just exposed the brainless and most willing murderers who live amongst us

ORC did no good, but they just destroyed their own evidence. The people they killed were the same ones they used to do crimes.

Strange how gunmen seem to roam freely in Bruceville when the southern police headquarters is almost within earshot of Bruceville. One would like to think that the southern police are well positioned to quickly apprehend and cut off the escape routes of the gunmen. Just saying.
