Education Minister says: Zero tolerance for teacher misconduct

Education Minister, Doctor Gale Rigobert, has vowed that she will not tolerate impropriety at the Island’s schools.

Rigobert made the comments to HTS Evening news last night.

The television station had reported that an investigation is currently underway into allegations of sexual misconduct between a school principal and female students.

The Education Minister confirmed that an investigation was underway, but cautioned against a rush to judgement.

According to information, the alleged misconduct took place at a Castries school and involved inappropriate text messaging.

The Times has been reliably informed that the Principal at the centre of the allegations has been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.
