ITF Secretary General visits NWU

Brother Stephen Cotton a trade union official who is Secretary General of the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) is currently visiting Saint Lucia. Bro. Cotton is on a five (5) day working holiday to Saint Lucia.  He has already met with officials from the National Workers Union (NWU) during which both sides discussed matters of mutual interest.


The International Transport Workers Federation will continue its educational thrust throughout the English-speaking and Latin American region.  The international trade union body will be hosting an industrial forum in Panama in early October 2016. The National Workers Union will be participating in that regional industrial seminar.


The NWU is an affiliate of the ITF which is based in London. It is a federation of 570 transport trade unions in 132 countries and represents around five million workers.
