Ambulance involved in accident

An ambulance transporting a patient from Tapion Hospital to St Jude Hospital was involved in an accident this afternoon after 1:pm, the Saint Lucia Fire Service has confirmed.

The accident occurred at Micoud.

It was not immediately clear what caused the ambulance to end up at the side of the road in a ditch.

According to information obtained by the Times, the vehicle, which belongs to the Saint Lucia Fire Service,  had on board the patient, a nurse, a nursing assistant and two fire officers.

No details were available on the condition of the occupants of the ambulance at this time.

    it’s clear the motorcycle ran the stop sign,causing ambulance to go to ditch what I wonder is why were two firemen in ambulance?
