PM Attends 71st Session of UN General Assembly in New York

Prime Minister Honourable Allen M. Chastanet will from Tuesday, September 20th, 2016

attend the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 71).

The General Assembly commenced on Monday September 19th 2016 at the UN headquarters

in New York, with several leaders expected to address the plenum. Prime Minister Chastanet

is scheduled to make a contribution to the General Debate of the General Assembly 71st

Session on the morning of Saturday 24th, 2016.

During his trip the Prime Minister will also be taking time to meet with Saint Lucians in New

York. The Consulate General of Saint Lucia in New York has invited Saint Lucian nationals

and friends in the tristate region to attend a town hall meeting featuring the Prime Minster,

and Minister in the Ministry of External Affairs Honourable Sarah Flood-Beaubrun, on the

evening of Saturday, September 24th, at the Mahalia Jackson Middle School, in Brooklyn,

New York. The meeting begins at 5:30PM. The evening will include a taste of Saint Lucian

culture with performances by the Children of Culture, singer Kayanna Lumpkin and poet Ras

Yah Yah.

In the Prime Minister’s absence Minister for Equity, Social Justice, Empowerment, Youth

Development, Sports and Local Government, Honourable Lenard Montoute will serve as Saint Lucia’s Acting Prime Minister.

    Mr. PM Chastanet in ur words on TV u were ask y u travel so much an ur answer was (the prim minister get’s taken serious compere to his associates/mp’s) does this means u don’t trust them doing the job they are being pay for or u just don’t think ur black counter parts match to ur level of competent knowledge or race
