Flow Supports Homecoming Celebration for Levern

St. Lucia’s leading telecommunications provider, Flow teamed up with the Babonneau Youth and Sports Council in hosting a grand motorcade and homecoming ceremony for St. Lucia’s international high-jump star and Flow Ambassador, Levern Spencer last Sunday (September 18) in Babonneau.

There was a huge turnout as hundreds of fans and well wishers along with family and friends of Levern from the community and beyond joined in the celebration, many of them proudly wearing their Flow-branded T-shirts. They all took part in the motorcade which kicked off at 1:00 p.m. from the Cacoa playing field and proceeded along the streets all throughout Babonneau.

The event was a spectacular outpouring of community pride and jubilation as young and old expressed their love, appreciation and support for Levern.

Around 4:00 p.m. all the patrons gathered in the church yard of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Central Babonneau for an autograph signing session and a photo op with their hometown heroine and St. Lucia’s Olympic icon.

This was followed by an awards ceremony and a reception in honour of Levern at the Babonneau Muli-purpose Center. Youth Synergy from the Babonneau constituency presented levern Spencer with a plaque of appreciation,

and Flow feels honoured to have her as our Brand Ambassador, and to have played a part in her steady rise to greatness,” Sidonie-John added.

Flow has been Levern’s sponsor for many years, providing her with financial and telecommunications support to assist with her athletic development and education.

So far this year Flow has contributed well over a quarter million dollars to sports, education and youth development, particularly at the grass roots level and in schools and community-based clubs and organisations.
