Saint Lucia’s new food, wine and fashion event

This October 25, Cap Maison Resort and several high profile brands in Saint Lucia have been cooking up, what is set to be the culinary and social event of the year called “GREAT TASTE”.

This new food, wine and fashion event will not only feature Cap Maison’s award-winning culinary team and restaurants (The Cliff at Cap and The Naked Fisherman) but also some of Saint Lucia’s leading restaurants.

According to the management team at Cap Maison, the event seeks to showcase the diverse and high quality gastronomy available in Saint Lucia and young up and coming talent. This is a rebrand of the renowned Cap Maison annual Anniversary party, which many Saint Lucian residents look forward to every year and was hailed by local press as The Event of the Year.

However, Great Taste similar to a food and wine festival, will feature a stronger focus on the food and wine experience combined with fashion.

The event as usual is open to both locals and visitors on the island. Partygoers will have the opportunity to explore a variety of flavors accompanied fine wines, champagne and rums. On one night, Food and Wine lovers can enjoy culinary delights from five of the top restaurants in Saint Lucia and a variety of flavors; Asian Fusion from Massala Bay, French Cuisine from Jacques and Euro-Caribbean Fusion from The Cliff at Cap and The Naked Fisherman.

There will also be Wine and Rum reception featuring the Verve Cliquot and Hennessey lounge plus the new fall fashion collection from Turkish Designer and owner of The Yard, Oya Soysal.

Harry Edwards Jewelers has also joined the award-winning luxury resort to create a beautiful boudoir for the ladies featuring designer jewelry and even some limited free gifts.

Apart from offering a night field with great tasting food, fashion and wines, this event has a social component.

Cap Maison’s annual event has typically raised over EC$15,000 for local charities almost every year. True to the luxury resort’s commitment to charity and the development of young people in Saint Lucia, part proceeds from the event will go to a local charity.

All the local businesses that have partnered with the luxury resort support the opportunity to contribute to local charities and are very excited to be part of this brand new event. Saint Lucians are invited to participate and can contact Cap Maison for more information.
