Press Release:–Flow Ambassador, Teddyson John has come in for high praise from his sponsor, following his success in capturing the Best Calypso/Soca Entertainer title for 2016 at the International Reggae and World Music Awards.
John is the first Saint Lucian ever to be nominated for the International Reggae and World Music Awards which was held October 2 at the Coral Spring Center for the Arts in South Florida.
“The news of Teddyson winning this prestigious award did not come as a surprise to us,” said Flow St. Lucia Marketing & Communications Executive, Shermalyn Sidonie-John. “Over the years he has proven beyond doubt that he is an incredibly talented artiste who puts his heart into his work and works hard to achieve his dreams. Popularly known as TJ, John is a former Groovy Soca Monarch, whose music took local soca fans by storm, including his smash hits ‘Land of Wine’ and ‘Push Back.’ He has been featured on a number albums, including the popular ‘Paradise Riddim’ alongside T&T’s Machel Montano, Nadia Batson, Kerwin Dubois and Farmer Nappy. He is also a mainstay of the Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival and has performed throughout the Caribbean, as well as in the US, Canada and the UK.
