Saint Lucia Writers Forum to launch Kweyol Anthology

In celebration of Creole Heritage Month The Saint Lucia Writers Forum is undertaking the publication of a Kwéyól Anthology authored by Ashanti Prescott. Ashanti Prescott hails from the community of Barre St Joseph and is also the author of “238 Square Miles Submerged in Fascination”. He is a longtime member of the Forum for over 10 years. This undertaking is a dream come true for Mr Prescott who loves writing in Kwéyol.
This latest publication entitled, Lamou évék Lafwa: épi Mizi Listwa will be launched at the Central Library on Tuesday the 18th of October 2016 at 7pm. The forty page anthology will be available for sale at the event at a discounted price. All are invited to attend this grand launch and be part of the history.
This is the third publication being undertaken by the Writers Forum having released “Sé Talan Nou: noun ka ékwi”, last year’s kwéyol anthology and Opus Spectrum: the initiation, last year’s English Anthology. A second volume of Opus Spectrum is expected to be published in December.
