‘Dirty White’ recaptured

Escaped prison inmate, ‘Dirty White’ has been recaptured, reliable sources have told the Times.

The escapee, whose real name is Hanson James, was recaptured last night following a massive manhunt.

He was serving time for stealing and gross indecency.

According to information obtained by the Times, ‘Dirty White’ was recaptured in the Dennery Valley by a Bordelais Correctional Facility (BCF) Patrol.

Just last night Prime Minister Allen Chastanet disclosed that there had been reports from residents of the Dennery area that James had been spotted.

Chastanet asserted that there was need to find out whether ‘Dirty White’ received help from inside the prison to facilitate his escape.

“The question is was it a mistake in judgement or was it deliberate,” the Prime Minister said last night during the DBS Television programme – Newsmaker Live.

Chastanet said there was need to apprehend anyone who may have helped in the escape and close that window of opportunity to future such escapes.

He explained that the high risk  inmate was given the task of dumping garbage in a lower security area and used the opportunity to jump the prison fence.

Chastanet said the matter is under investigation by the police.

The Prime Minister said that prison escapes happen in the United States.

He stated that he was not making an excuse.

“Unfortunately these things happen,” Chastanet said, adding that it is difficult to create a  system that is “fail safe.”
