Top Tourist Board Officials Resign

Two top officials of the Saint Lucia Tourist Board have called it quits, reliable sources have told the Times.

The two have been identified as Tourist Board Director, Louis Lewis and Deputy Director of Tourism, Tracey Warner-Arnold.

Sources have told the Times that there was a level of disquiet at the Tourist Board that prompted the resignation.

Warner-Arnold’s resignation takes effect at the end of November, whereas Lewis’ tenure will come to an end in January 2017 the Times has been informed.

Lewis served for 9 years at the Tourist Board.

No one is indispensable. These two are not the only people in St. Lucia who can run the Tourist Board. Life will go on.

More to go, let the SLTB re channel their Focus. Spending tax payers dollars with their women….. Ha ha ha ha.

Dam no more jazz tickets for the clique of Warner n Louis. I guess the Duboulay n Chastanet n Augier family will be the massa in charge.
We are in such a mess with these peeps.

The problem with you Selah is you’re looking for employment through a party because you have no credentials to stand on merit. Louis and Tracy on the other hand both have the credentials to gracefully resign. Does that open up a vacancy that you can fill?

Maybe Louis and Dahlia Guard should tell the people of ST. Lucia how they use the 16 million dollars on Jazz. who were the recipient? Darwin Guard, Ersher Delauney and Dahlia Francoise?
Maybe they should answer to Tax Payers money.

The tourism industry prospered while Louis was responsible. Numbers speak louder than words. I smell a rat too. Probably making way for a party supporter. Sad.

    More to come

    October 31, 2016 at 5:14 pm

It is rather unfortunate when we celebrate at such news and even call for the destruction of people’s family members. Tracy and Louis are two young hardworking SAINT LUCIANS who have contributed so much to their country. I guess the slave master mentality calls another HEPPLE to come and do less for much more of our tax payers money. I am very proud of the two of you. Another country will be happy to have any one of you to move their tourism agenda forward. Sad day in my St Lucia.

It’s really sad how we still playing politics; even more sad is to see the degradation of our tourist industry with the loss of two great human resource personnel, hard working people, who have kept our island visible internationally; how many more will be fired or have to resign for us too realize that something is fundamentally wrong with our system and this cannot continue, or we will end up in the dumps with this party games whether it is SLP or UWP. PEOPLE THIS HAS TOO STOP!!!

What’s fundamentally wrong is that there’s WAY to much money being allocated to Tourism in our budgets.

We don’t need such a large workforce to promote St Lucia.

The island sells itself, we just need a HANDFUL of qualified connected individuals to replace the entire board and its subordinates.

$1M budget just for the Jazz Festival this is LUDICROUS, that budget should have been on the decline whilst the popularity the festival increased.

Understandable artiste fees should be ring fenced because with the artiste pull the crowds.

I will give lewisa hearty farewell..he indeed worked hard IMO…9 years of service under both gov..bravo..Tracy I am sue added to the advancement of promoting issue though with those 2 individuals are (1)..this lady Tracy seemed to be another RECYCLED TOURIST BOARD MEMBER..she has to my little understanding been under the tourism umbrella for Louis Lewis.. I cannot point out any significant major development under his tenure..yes tourists visitors did increase exponentially esp from 2013 to 2015..BUT HOW HAS ST LU. CHANGED ITS TOURISTS MARKETING STRATEGY OR HE TRYING TO INNOVATE NEW WAYS TO LURE A MORE SOPHISTICATED TRAVELLER..ITS THE SAME OLE CLICHÉ STUFF THIS GUY WAS IMO DOING FIR 7yrs or so out of His 9 years at the helm..Tell me pls if anyone can say any thing to dispel my claims of Louis esp..politics aside ppl
