Police probe death of Vieux Fort woman

Police are investigating the death of a Vieux Fort woman, identified as Emelda Damaze.

According to information obtained by the Times, the eighty-five year old female died at St Jude Hospital on October 27, 2016.

Damaze is reported to have died from an overdose of Daonil tablets.

The tablets are used to control blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes.

The Vieux Fort woman was reportedly taken to St Jude hospital, discharged and readmitted.

She was pronounced dead a few days later, according to reports.
