The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force has once again embarked on its annual week of activities dubbed Police week. Police Week 2016 is observed under the theme “The Community and the Police; A partnership in Action” and runs from November 20 to November 27, 2016.
There is one activity which precedes the week. This activity is a Police Train to be held on Saturday November 12, 2016. This is done in a motorcade style from police stations to police stations around the island where police officers are expected to give back to a community member or business place that supports the police. The Train will leave the Gros Islet Police Station at 6:00 a.m.
The Week is as follows
Sunday 20 November: Church Service at Harvest Pentecostal, Belle Vue, Vieux Fort
Monday 21 November: Visit to Sick and Shut in Officers
Tuesday 22 November: Mini Concert at Vide Boutielle Secondary
Wednesday 23 November: Panel Discussion
Thursday 24 November: Open day at various Police Stations
Friday 25 November: Games Night at La Ressource Resource Centre, Dennery
Saturday 26 November: Strut for a Cause
Sunday 27 November: Police Awards
Police Week is a community policing strategy used to create a synergy between the police and the public. The RSLPF invites all persons to come out in large numbers to support officers during Police Week 2016.
