Invest Saint Lucia announces the relaunch of its new website

Invest Saint Lucia (ISL), the Government agency charged with promoting, stimulating and facilitating investment on the island, has relaunched its website – www.investstlucia.com

The redeveloped site is the main promotional and informational tool used to give Saint Lucia visibility in domestic, regional and international investment markets. In that context, the scope of the redesigned website was focused, inter alia, on promoting targeted investment and business opportunities in Saint Lucia, and incorporated several critical components of a good promotional website, including branding; clarity of navigation; depth and quality of content; effective search engine marketing; and the use of infographics and new media.

According to Lyndon Samuel, Information Systems Advisor at ISL, “This project is crucial for ISL, as the older website could no longer support the enhanced technological features and capabilities necessary to remain relevant in investment promotion, without negatively impacting the site’s ease of navigation. Moreover, Samuel explained, “The enhancements now make the site highly interactive, with the utilisation of innovative tools for presenting information to investors including interactive maps and infographics.”

The functionality and architecture of the redesigned website, is intended to direct potential and current investors to available investment and business development opportunities. It seeks to promote the best attributes of the island and provides information – not only on doing business – but also on the quality of life that one can experience in Saint Lucia.

The new website is expected to assist in maintaining the Invest Saint Lucia brand; communicating the competitive advantages of the island; providing relevant, quality and timely information to users; and creating an interactive platform that promotes feedback on the investment opportunities and information presented.

Manager for Research, Policy Advocacy and Communications, Natasha Edwin-Walcott, noted that, “The website is responsive, user friendly and easy to navigate. She added, “the improvements have been developed in accordance with international best practices in investment promotion, and offer users greater interaction and easier access to information.”

Users of www.investstlucia.com can look forward to continuous improvements including the integration of social media. The Website was redesigned by local company eMagine Solutions Inc.
