Grow Well Juniors excel at Rotary Club of Gros Islet Golf Tournament

Saturday Nov 12 – Grow Well junior golfers produced a stunning highlight at the Rotary Club of Gros Islet’s Golf tournament Nov 12.
The youngest team in the tournament placed a brilliant second in this major event.
The Rotary Club of Gros Islet (RCGI) this year sponsored a youth team comprising 3 members from the Grow Well Junior Golf Programme. To the surprise of all, Quain Jones, Samuel Richelieu and Keymanie Thomas played a calm, confident game supporting one another with their sportsmanship.
“They astonished the field of 90 players.” said Coach Cliff Alcide. “Each junior made good use of his skills and his golf handicap to help the team.”  Alcide has been a Grow Well coach from the beginning of the programme, now in its sixth year.
RCGI president Astrid Mondesir remarked on this amazing feat: “Congrats to Grow Well and its juniors. The entire club is buzzing about it..  We are so proud of these young golfers!” The Rotary Club of Gros Islet is a founder of Grow Well and has supported the organization and its many youth programmes since 1995.
Ten juniors, including seven from Grow Well competed in this huge tournament. The other Grow Well golfers who joined adult teams were Rayshorn Joseph, Lisa Daniel, Jowen Smith and Adrian Richelieu.
