To close the curtains to this year’s Jounen Kwéyòl en Jacmel, the Jacmel Jounen Kwéyòl Committee hosted an Appreciation Ceremony for sponsors and contributors to the event. The ceremony was held on Saturday, December 03, 2016 at Auberge Seraphine from 7pm.
The ceremony featured key addresses by Ms. Patrish Lionel- Chairperson of the Jacmel Jounen Kwéyòl Committee, Mr. Leslie Charles Chairperson of the Creole Heritage Month Committee and Honourable Dominic Fedee, Parliamentary Representative for Anse La Raye/Canaries. There was a short dance presentation by the Metamorphical dancers and presentation of certificates by the 2016 La Wenn Kwéyòl- Ms. Angela Simon.
The Jacmel Jounen Kweyol Committee recognizes the importance of the private sector in community development and felt it necessary to show appreciation to sponsors and persons who contributed towards the activity’s success.
