Chopping victim released from hospital

Chopping victim, Gregor Clerice, has been released from hospital.

He was released on Friday evening.

Clerice, aka ‘Mr. Guh Guh’, was attacked by a cutlass wielding masked man in the wee hours of Friday morning near the La Clery Health Centre.

He sustained a cut to the arm.

The chopping victim told the Times that he had left his home before 5:am to await the opening of the Health Centre in order to get an early appointment to see a doctor, when a masked man confronted him demanding cash.

He said he told the man he had no money, whereupon the bandit demanded his wrist watch.

The masked man later chopped Clerice on the arm before escaping.

Clerice, who is in his seventies,  has lived in La Clery for many years and says has never been in any trouble with anyone.
