Three attempted suicides reported

Three attempted suicides have been reported over the past few days, according to information obtained by the Times.

A Micoud man, believed to be in his thirties, is reported to have been taken to hospital Wednesday afternoon after drinking a poisonous liquid.

Well informed sources told the Times that the man admitted to ingesting the liquid.

The sources disclosed that he apparently suffers from depression.

In a separate incident, a young woman who lives in the South of the Island is reported to have consumed an overdose of an undisclosed medication.

The woman, who also reportedly suffers from depression, was hospitalized after complaining of a severe headache, according to Times sources.

She was subsequently taken to the Mental Wellness Centre for counselling, the sources disclosed.

A  male secondary school student from the South of the Island is also reported to have attempted to commit suicide a few days ago.

It is being alleged that the suicide attempt was as a result of a romantic relationship that turned sour.

It’s funny how we conveniently burden God with things that he has given us human beings the capacity to fulfill. As if when we say, go to God with your problems, we’ve done our bit. Genesis 4:9 “Where is your brother Abel?” “I don’t know,” he replied. “Am I my brother’s keeper?”
As a society purporting to be Christian, where are our brothers? Can our brother come to us in a moment of darkness without fear of judgment or criticism? Suicides and depression speak directly to the very fabric of our society; the village that once raised children, is today eating its young.
Depression and suicide is not a personal issue, it’s a church, family, school, community issue. I take no comfort in a news article that heaps suicide attempts into one report as if they were a traffic pileup. So, I urge you to start by really opening up yourself to someone the next time you ask, how are you? Ask it with sincerity, and with the preparation to lend an ear if they are really not ok. I also pray that the individual being asked has the courage to say, I am not okay, I need your help or advice.

Evil Chastanet is the cause of all of this.
Evil Chastanet, destroyed everything good we once had. He lied and sold this island to Satan. And now more killings and suicides.

This report should have been fair and more balanced. It identified Micoud but failed to mention where the other two incidents happened. This one-sided reporting does not reflect positively on the profession.

all you fools talking about God this and God that. Did you chimps forget that the white man raped and plundered your people? That he gave you this religion you so voraciously devour? All of you are beating your monkey drum about God but you forget that you were given religion so you could remain as slaves.

Keep going to church and giving your income to priests and pastors in God’s name while you can barely afford to live a good life. Also don’t forget to keep on having children while you struggle to provide for them because the bible says so..

You plebs have a lot to learn.
