Police Update: Homicide at Gros Islet

A post mortem was conducted upon the body of Jeremie St. Martin, a twenty one year old resident of Gros Islet, who succumbed to injuries sustained during a shooting incident, at Gros Islet, on Friday, January 6, 2017.

The post mortem examination, conducted by Dr. Wayne Felicien, revealed that Jeremie St. Martin died as a result of hemorrhagic shock secondary to gunshot wound to the chest.

This was the first homicide for the year 2017.

    yesss donkeys…if they all get shot in the same spot on their bodies then they will die “of the same thing”…how can a man be shot to death and expect the autopsy to say he died as a result of multiple stabbings in the lower abdomen?

    People hemorrhagic shock means the person pretty much bled to death as a result of their injury whether the excessive bleeding occurred internally or externally…and yes you can bleed to death internally. So since he was shot in the chest and there may have been no exit wound most of the bleeding occurred internally especially if a major vein or artery was severed when the injury took place. Yes there was external bleeding but most of the bleeding happened on the inside
