Escaped prisoner recaptured

Escaped prisoner, Dexter Jn Baptiste, alias ‘Chucky’ and ‘Dave’ has been recaptured, law enforcement sources have disclosed.

The prisoner was held by police this morning, Wednesday, January 18 2017 at around 7:20 am.

According to information, Vieux Fort police cornered him in an abandoned house at Bruceville.

Jn Baptiste was unharmed, the Times was informed.

He had escaped this week as he was being led to the courthouse in Vieux Fort where he was expected to give evidence as a prosecution witness.

However, Jn Baptiste is also an accused in an indictable offence involving a female in Mon Repos.

He is also alleged to have threatened to kill the woman.

There have been expressions of concern that the prisoner was reportedly being conveyed to the courthouse without being handcuffed.

There have also been called for an investigation into the matter.

The Times understands that Vieux Fort police received numerous tips from members of the public in apprehending the escaped prisoner whose photograph had been plastered all over  the social media.

The police have been engaging in a round the clock hunt for the escapee.

Looks are deceiving. The media n people make others look bad.Even tho he has done stuff doesn’t mean u all should condemn him.people are raised up differently n there are things in life that make people go to the extent.A loving yute flow is.He is troublesome n full of noise but that doesn’t mean he is a menace.by the way everyone experience differently.give d man a chance

That name ‘dangerous’ says it all. Troubled or not there is no justification or excuses for his actions. He has raped more than one woman, not just in Mon Repos. (He even threatened to kill the woman that he raped.) Why should he be given a ‘break’?

Have you ever been burnt? Don’t put your hands in fire for anyone, whether you know him personally or not.

Good heart my foot, is these attitudes that make these criminals think they can escape with their shit. They know there is always somebody that will be sympathetic towards their I’ll (Word deleted). The person that think he has a good heart must be a family member. I know him personally too for a lot of years and I have never known him to be up to any good. He has always been a troublemaker. Good and evil don’t mix sir.
