Jonathan ‘Ninja Dan’ St Rose and his co-defendants were today set free by the High Court, sparking scenes of jubilation outside the courthouse.
An eyewitness told the Times that ‘Ninja Dan’ was in tears.
St Rose, Mervyn Nelson and Lynden Blasse were charged with the February 14, 2009 murder of Dwayne ‘Chubby’ James.
James, of Maynard Hill, succumbed after being stabbed.
The mother of the deceased told the Times there was nothing she could do about the new development in the case, as she was expecting the release of the three defendants.
St Rose and the other defendants had done some eight in prison.
