Mother gets help for baby’s surgery

A mother of Trois Pitons, Castries, has reported receiving the help she needs to pay for urgent surgery required by her baby.

Christal Jorney, 30, said since the Times published her story yesterday, she has received word that the  $US 22,000 operation will be performed.

Jorney told the Times that baby Toya,  her first child,  was born in August with a cleft palate.

Later, Doctors discovered that the child’s heart was abnormal.

The child also has two holes in her heart, a heart murmur  and a dislocated hip bone, the mother explained.

She disclosed that the surgery on her child has been scheduled for March.

The mother had been trying to raise funds on her own by selling food.

    Amen!!!
Happy to know you are getting all the help and your baby will be doing well.
But having said that, I must point fingers back at Evil Chastanet handing over our coffers to the Chinese (Broke Investor) and Guy Joseph to do as they please, while the people suffer. All those millions could be spent on our healthcare.
Evil Chastanet, you are hated in the Caribbean and St. Lucians. Pack your kindergarten lunch bag and food carriers. Take a boat and return to your homeland, Martinique.

This infant, and any other Saint Lucian child (up to age 21yrs), with a serious advanced medical or surgical need can receive help by World Pediatric Project (WPP) through the Saint Lucia Community Child Health service (at your nearest health centre). Saint Lucian children and families are indebted to WPP for free medical/surgical care donated for the past 9 years for heart, brain, spinal, plastic, orthopedic surgery, physiotherapy and other care.
