Five homeless In Bagatelle fire

Five persons lost their homes  last night at Bagatelle, Castries, as a fire of unknown origin swept through two wooden buildings.

The Saint Lucia Fire Service reported receiving a distress call at about 7 pm and responded with two fire trucks and an ambulance.

Both buildings were completely destroyed.

It is reported that the houses were occupied by two brothers, one of whom lived alone.

The other brother lived with his two children and their mother, it is reported.

    When will tne fire service in St.lucia be more competent. It took them almost half hour to get to that scene.In my opinion the distance from the fire service to that particular fire was not very far.

    St.lucia build their roads wihout ever thinking of the possibility that they would need FIRE HYDRANTS.St.lucia should have been investing in fire hydrants, the days of taking 1 or 2 water trucks to a fire is ridiculous,we seem to be wasting a lot of time as time flies away.invest in WATER HYDRANTS for the island
