Martinique: Authorities blow up suspicious suitcase

The authorities in Martinique yesterday afternoon intervened  to blow up a suspicious suitcase at the entrance of the Pierre Zobda Quitman hospital in Fort-de-France.

The case had been forgotten by an elderly patient.

According to Martinique 1ere,  the presence of the suitcase created concern at the hospital, resulting in the police and the fire service being summoned to the scene.

A security cordon was created and the suspicious case was detonated.

It turned out that the case contained only clothing.
