Police make big currency seizure

Saint Lucia police have made a big foreign currency seizure in Dennery, well informed sources have told the Times.

According to the sources, the sum of foreign currency involved was ‘significant’.

One source suggested that the equivalent in EC dollars could be more than a $250,000.

Information obtained by the Times indicates that the money was seized  during an operation by the Police Drug Squad.

It is reported that officers found the money in a vehicle they stopped and searched on Tuesday.

Two male individuals, said to be in their forties, were detained.

    We can’t be that broke!

Ch-ass you need to go down Dennery for some monetary injection into the Treasury.

Guess if the individuals can’t prove the legitimacy of the cash it goes to the Treasury anyway.
