Four injured in separate accidents

Four people were hospitalized last night following two separate accidents at Richfond, Dennery, according to reports.

According to the Saint Lucia Fire Service, shortly before 8 O’ clock there was a collision involving four vehicles, resulting in one person being transported to Victoria Hospital.

About an hour later, a vehicle ran off the road and hit a utility pole resulting in three persons sustaining injuries and having to be transported to Victoria Hospital,  emergency services said.

Saint Lucia Times please quote the time correctly (AM or PM) not o’clock. This is not the first article where I have seen this which has led me to believe this is not a one time typographical error but someone may just not know better. Please let us continue to strive for editorial excellence.

Agreed. I’ve noticed it too! (In my head I was wondering if that’s the way St. Lucians communicate the time, maybe socio-cultural differences) I’m not St. Lucian. I hope someone sees this, so that it can be rectified for the greater enhancement of insightful and comprehensive journalism.

This yellow car overtook a long line of traffic twice. Once before the Dennery lookout, and the other after the lookout. It was just a matter of time until a vehicle from the oncoming lane drove it off the road. Well done!

idiot, I understand the context they are speaking. Even if you say last night, use 24hr time. If you from another country it makes it a bit confusing.

Totally agree with the time issue. You either type in the 24 HR clock example: 20:00 or 08:00.

Once you read 20:00 it automatically means PM and 08:00 automatically means AM

Or 8 PM or 8 AM.

I would have expected that from SNO journalist!

And the commenter ” It does say, last night four people were hospitalized.” that irrelevant we need to be in the practice of typing properly set an example for the youth.

Give Some St. Lucians that. They always hear something, and they cannot keep it to themselves until they can prove what they hear. I wonder what people have heard about this comment writer!
