While everything else reported on the incidents is correct, the location is incorrect. The shooting took place on the road leading to Harris paints close to the Tire Ranch in the monplaisir complex

Continued from previous mis-post: I am an american. My friends and I have been visiting st Lucia for the last seven days. I was disappointed to learn about this shooting and the apparent rising homicide rate.
We did not stay on a resort. Instead, we spent our time traveling around and learning about the culture of this Beautiful country. This is a very special place. An amazing place. Not simply because of the beaches or the scenery or the wildlife; these things add to the whole. But I find the culture and the spirit of the local people to be uniquely charecteristic of this place. This is what sets it apart from many places I have visited. Everyone is quick with a smile and interested in a genuine connection. I have found that St lucians are a uniquely strong and beautiful people. I am confident that these troubles can be overcome.
