La Clery barber shop burglarised

Popular La Clery Barber shop, the Grooming Club,  was  burglarised some time  last night.
A spokesman for the Grooming Club told the Times that a television set was among the items that were stolen.
The incident occurred  as the business establishment, in collaboration with the Caribbean Barber and Beauty Academy, was about to launch a six month promotion that would have seen some 100 persons from the community get haircuts for $1 on Wednesdays between 2pm and 6 pm.
The $1 promotion was expected to target mainly children from the surrounding  primary schools and community.
When contacted the  owner  of the Grooming Club, who is currently away from Saint Lucia on business,  said the burglary  is a major setback.
He disclosed that 13 students from the Barber Academy were eagerly awaiting the promotion  and more than 50 school children were scheduled  to begin arriving at the shop come Wednesday, March 8, 2017.

How did the thieves gain access to the property? It seemed quite secure to me, just as much as Massy Stores next door do.

Barber shops should not let fellars come and lime in the business, talking nonsense and just idling. This is always a potential source of problems. Fellars should be allowed only to come in and cut their hair or get a shave, then they should go about their business. Also barber shops should not take stuff from partners to sell………..Things like mag rims, stereos, and electronic devices. These barber shops are not stores, and the items for sale can attract the wrong set of clients. Even though this was OK once upon a time, it is not OK to do so now because times have changed, and man to man is so unjust. Seen?
