Former Gros Islet MP, Emma Hippolyte, has called on all Saint Lucians to stand up against evil.
She made the call while disclosing to reporters that she was victimised twice by previous United Workers Party (UWP) administrations.
Hippolyte spoke following a meeting with employees of the National Initiative to Create Employment (NICE), on Saturday at the Gros Islet Secondary school.
She recalled that as a Director of Audit and later as Director of the National Insurance Corporation (NIC), her contracts were not renewed by UWP administrations.
The former Minister for Commerce, Business Development, Investment and Consumer Affairs, called on all Saint Lucians to stand up for what is right.
“We need to denounce evil and evil actions,” Hipolyte declared.
She asserted that the actions of the United Workers Party at this time seem to be evil and the party appears to be in association with ‘the evil one’.
According to the former minister, every Saint Lucian has a right to eat and work in this country.
She said there was need to send that message to the governing party.
Asked what strategy the opposition Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP) will adopt, Hippolyte said:
“We will not share that strategy with you.”
She told reporters that the opposition will do what it has to do
