Emma: Stand up against evil

Emma: Stand up against evil

Former Gros Islet MP, Emma Hippolyte, has  called on all Saint Lucians to stand up against evil.

She made the call while disclosing to reporters that she was victimised twice by previous United Workers Party (UWP) administrations.

Hippolyte spoke following a meeting with employees of the National Initiative to Create Employment (NICE), on Saturday at the Gros Islet Secondary school.

She recalled that as a Director of Audit and later as Director of the National Insurance Corporation (NIC), her contracts were not renewed by UWP administrations.

The former Minister for Commerce, Business Development, Investment and Consumer Affairs, called on all Saint Lucians to stand up for what is right.

“We need to denounce evil and evil actions,” Hipolyte declared.

She asserted that the actions of the United Workers Party at this time seem to be evil and the party appears to be in association with ‘the evil one’.

According to the former minister, every Saint Lucian has a right to eat and work in this country.

She said there was need to send that message to the governing party.

Asked what strategy the opposition Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP) will adopt, Hippolyte said:

“We will not share that strategy with you.”

She told reporters that the opposition will do what it has to do

Whether she is a loser or not does that give the prime minister to send home 1000 people. Do you know how many single mothers will be at home.

UWP come in and victimize Labour then when SLP return they will victimize Flambeaus. When will that vicious victimization cycle end?

      Hear hear!

It will take a generation if not more before that cycle is stopped.

Or it can happen very quickly if the populous denounces this sort of thing.

It will end when we force people to work together, by electing candidates from ALL parties to our House of Assembly. Elect some Labour, some Flambeau, some Lucian People’s party, some Greens, and some independent. Let them form a Government of National Unity and combine their God-given talents for the betterment of the country. Why should the rulers come from either one or the other main party?

You give me encouragement that things will/could get better.

True progression of St Lucia can only come under a coalition Government sorry to say.

Chastenet has to go for what? Was he the one who issued the contracts to these people for March 31st? Was this programme designed for permanent employment? Where is the rest of the money coming from to finance the progeamme? Dont you understand that we have been borrowing to finance the programme? Dont you understand that these are monies the country has to pay back? Why deny it is SLP supporters alone got slots and yet you call it Victimization? Come on people. SLP need to stop the foolishness.
