New PWA President stresses unity

The new President of the Police Welfare Association (PWA), Travis Chicot, has asserted that if members of the organisation are not united, they will not be able to achieve common goals.

PC 694 Chicot said the newly elected PWA executive will make unifying members of the organisation its priority.

He spoke of the need for members to speak with one voice.

The new PWA president asserted that the unity initiative would involve all ranks of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RLPF), including the high command.

“We will unite all ranks and this must be our key point on how we move forward,” Chicot declared.

He said as soon as the new executive meets PWA members, it will thereafter make a formal statement on its agenda.

The members of the new executive who were elected on Monday are:

PC 694 Chicot- President
Cpl Nigel Jahwahir – Vice President
PC Azariah Francios – Secretary
Sgt Curtis Roberts – Treasurer
Cpl Zachery Hippoltye – Public Relations Officer
Wpc Siana Gaston – Assistant Secretary
PC Callixte Xavier – Assistant Treasurer
Insp.  Marcellinous Leonce – Assistant Public Relations Officer
