A Managing Director has been appointed at the Saint Lucia Crisis Centre.
She is Miss Lancia Isidore who has been described in a Crisis Centre statement as representing a perfect mix of advocacy and strategic thinking which will anchor collective efforts to advance the cause of people with various vulnerabilities in society.
“Ms. Isidore is armed with years of experience in management and the NGO sector which will help consolidate our current programs and future development plans,” the statement said.
It wished the Managing Director a successful tenure of service.
The statement also announced that the Crisis Centre has recruited two experienced part time Counsellors in the persons of Ms. Virginia d’Auvergne and Ms. Faith St. Catherine.
It stated that the two will provide support to:
- Victims of domestic violence and other forms of abuse
- Crisis interventions with all walk- in clients
- Behavioural change issues comprising: conflict/anger management, couples, marriages and family counselling.
In addition Mr. Andrew Sealy, Board Member, voluntarily provides support to the men’s arm of the Saint Lucia Crisis Centre, the statement noted.
