UWP offers condolences after deadly explosion

Press Release:-The United Workers Party sends sincere condolences to the family, co-workers, friends and communities affected by the unfortunate quarry explosion which took place on Tuesday March 21st 2017.

The country has been thrown into mourning over the incident which took three lives.

Our thoughts are with those who are now undergoing care from injuries related to the explosion. The United Workers Party joins the Government, in thanking the countries who have reached out to help Saint Lucia and would especially like to thank Martinique for providing quick medical support.

The United Workers Party would also like to commend the medical staff at the Victoria Hospital for their hard work and the Emergency responders at the scene.

We are also very proud of the response of the Fire Service and the Police in this time of crisis.

We stand in solidarity with the people and government of St. Lucia in prayers and assisting in any way possible.

We continue to keep them in our prayers and pray for a healthy and speedy recovery of the survivors.

The United Workers Party commends the entire nation for coming together in this time of emergency and states that this is testimony to what we can achieve if we all come together.
