Nephew: Woman threatened to kill deceased

Dillan Delice, the nephew of deceased stabbing victim, Cletus Edward, has said that the woman who is alleged to have stabbed him had threatened to kill Edward.

“Over the weekend the two had a heated argument and she was saying: ‘I am going to kill you Cletus!'” Delice recalled.

The nephew said yesterday afternoon as he stood opposite the house where the two were, he heard crying.

According to Delice, when the crying continued for a few minutes he realised that something was wrong.

He disclosed that he called the couple’s last son to enquire what the problem was with the boy’s mother.

Delice said the youngster went to the house to investigate and came barging out, exclaiming that Cletus Edward was dead.

“When I went inside I saw her lying on him and crying – he was on the floor with his eyes wide open,” Delice said.

He said he immediately summoned the authorities and raised an alarm.

“It is sad you know because we spoke to him about her, you know they had their heated arguments – they broke up, they came back together; you know – men, you can’t have their feelings for them so he went through and that was the end result,” Delice explained.

The deceased has left three children behind, the last one being ten years old.

Delice said the deceased had been stabbed in the chest and on the left arm.

“Abusive relationships – they don’t work,” he declared, adding that persons who find themselves in such a relationship should leave.

“Move on. Being on your own, learning your strengths and weaknesses is even better than being with someone who you think loves you and then there is a big lie,” Delice asserted.

He recalled the recent incident in Ciceron where a woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her boyfriend on her birthday.

Delice said his uncle, Cletus Edward, ¬†was stabbed to death on his girlfriend’s birthday.

“Yesterday was her birthday,” he revealed.

The girlfriend was arrested by the police.

I am not condoning what she did…. But do we know what happened..we might come up with our own theories. Why would a mother of three “high school sweethearts ” blatantly kill him. What triggered that… If family members believed his life was at risk why was not proper measures taken…. We Luciana just sit and don’t do anything….. We need to be more proactive….. See government we chose…. We need to stand by our actions…….. Be more proactive…. Be your brother’s keeper….. Don’t be hypocritical

That is really sad on your part. You must be from the hang fella crew who no matter what thinks that it’s always the dude fault…..A dude commits a crime against a woman he should be hanged or handled with extreme prejudice but when it’s the other way around you all still haveto find a way to make it the man’s fault……This is a cold hearted crime but we all know since the perp is female nothing will come out of this wicked ppl like you will advocate for her to walk free

It’s very sad for the kids to be, without both parents. There is a old saying behind our bedroom door. So we the public will not no what trigger her. Pray for the kids, and both sides of the family.

It is so sad what the world is coming to…people mistake infatuation for love and stay in relationships which only brings pain. True love doesn’t weigh u down…stop the violence and abuse. No one owns each other…not even your kids u get to be in charge of all their lives. Love all…respect all…life is the greatest gift we have

There are many men who are in an abusive relationship, the abuser being the woman. They stay in the dark until its too late. Maybe it’s fear, pride or ego that keeps them.in silence.
